Ok, so I know I haven’t written on here for a while but here is a good drinking game. So I know a lot of you have played many drinking games and I know most of you are getting tired of the games you have played. Well here is a good classic that will get have you meeting new people, while at the same time having rivalry and fun. It called 7-11 or doubles. First of all what you will need. To have a good game at least 4 people will do. You will also need 2 dice and probably at least an 18 pack although I recommend a 30 pack of beer. Finally 1 plastic cup. The rules are very simple and here they are. You can role to see who goes first or just make some random house rule but in either case first person to go gets to roll and then gets to pick who drinks. The cup gets filled about a third or a half full. Next the person that gets to roll gets to rolls, (but!!) doesn’t touch the dice until he/she is ready to roll. Once the person touches the dice and begins to roll the person chosen to drink has to drink the entire cup of beer before the roller gets 7-11-or doubles. The drinker cannot touch the cup until the roller touches the dice. If the drinker touches the cup before the roller than the drinker drinks and roller and drinker play again. At any time anyone in the table including the drinker may drink the cup full of beer, thus saving the drinker. However, whether they succeed or not, now the person who took the cup is either the winner (by drinking all the beer before the roller rolls 7-11- or doubles); or the loser (by not drinking all of the beer before roller gets 7-11-or doubles). Regardless of who wins, winner gets to chose a drinker and the game starts all over again. As a side note if roller rolls off of the table he/she drinks and is automatically the loser (and drinks the cup) and whoever was the drinker becomes the roller. This is a fast and competitive game so be prepared for a long night and a whole but load of fun. If you got questions let me know.
Tonight’s drink is a James Bond Martini know as the VESPER martini from Casino Royal:
3 measures of Gordons
1 measure of Vodka
½ measure of Kina Lillet
Shake until ice cold, then add a thin slice of lemon peel.
And there you have it an original 007 fancy martini. Enjoy. This is Morales…..Cesar Morales

The Best Deal In Town!!
Ok so I have been getting a lot of email and I think it’s about time to reveal the biggest drinking secret in Davis. Friday night from 9-9:30 pm the Grad (by the Arco next to UCD has 5 long islands for $5 + tax. It comes out to about 8 bucks. You can get a variety of long island from a Tahiti tea to a Tokyo tea. Each long island has about 2 ½ shots x 5 you have a good party. There are a couple of catches you should know of. First of all there is a cover starting at night, and lately a little before. It is $5 but if you get there at around 8:45pm you should be fine. The other catch is that by CA law they can only serve 2 drinks at a time per person. So to get your moneys worth, bring 2 friends and you can get all 5 and they can buy next round. Usually they have a live band named cold shot that plays songs until around 9:30pm at which time they switch to country night. With 5 long islands behind you should be ready to have fun. This is definitely the scene for girls to have fun and guys to try to meet girls. The girl to guy ratio is crazy. So girls will feel safe and guys can try and try to impress. This is the best deal in town so don’t mess out. Be weary everyone knows how to dance really well!!
Today im going to leave you with a drink by popular reques:
Red Headed Slut:
1 oz peach schnapps
1 oz Jagermeister® herbal liqueur
cranberry juice
pour into shot glass and get ready to have fun.
til next time

Weekend Date
Ok, so although Davis does not seem like one of the best places to take someone out to a date, especially when Sacrament is 15 min away. Here are some ideas of things to do or places to go. If your new to Davis, or have been here for a while, you probably know by now that bicycling is a religion here. So for a good start to a date why not go on a bike ride. Davis has a green belt that is over 25 miles long. Along the way there are plenty of places to stop by and just enjoy the scenery. If you go on the north part of the greenbelt you will find some ponds and a pretty nice man-made lake that sets a pretty good atmosphere for a picnic. If you choose to go on the south part of the greenbelt there is of course the arboretum that snakes around the south part of UC Davis. This is from a guy’s point of view and from my infinite wisdom of datingJ. I strongly recommend that for your picnic you keep it simple especially if you don’t really know your date. Probably not the best time to make caviar spread hors d'Ĺ“uvre. If you like alcohol, I suggest a nice bottle of red wine with some crackers and maybe a light sandwich. Otherwise, instead of wine some homemade lemonade on a nice warm day is just as good. This will set a good mood to just relax and talk. Trust me if you want your date to go well the rest of the day this step is crucial it will show whether there is any compatibility between you. If there is, more than likely after a nice bike ride and plenty of sun you will want to cool down. You can always continue your date with a movie at home. Redbox, or other like machines, let you rent movies for $1. This will save you money for your next date and will open possibilities for doing movie nights on a regular basis. What you choose to do before or after the picnic is totally up to you. Just remember if all else fails on your date just be considerate, a gentleman, and genuinely yourself. And I guaranty, unless she crazy, you will have a good time. That is just one suggestion but the options are endless.
Today Recipe:
I thought I would introduce a fun drink. This drink is called Cucci. This is what you will need and how to make it.
1 1/2 oz Southern Comfort® peach liqueur
3 oz orange juice
4 oz Crystal Light® lemonade mix
1 dash Cointreau® orange liqueur
ice cubes
Add ice to glass, drizzle Southern Comfort over the ice. Add lemonade, orange juice and a dash of Cointreau and mix.
And unless you’re Val (you know who you are), you will love this drink. It is very citrusy and has a good orange taste to it. Next times drink will be dedicated to Jen.

Wednesday Sudwerks
All right so its Wednesday,
Well the one experience you should try is of course Sudwerks. Its a Bavarian style beer brew house. There is a $3 dollar cover and you can get all pints for $1. They have a 4 beer selection and that is: Marzen ( highest in alcohol and darkest), Pilsner, Lager, and Hefeweizen. The one thing to consider is you should always go with plenty of friends or go with some card games and or drinking games. The line to get beer varies between very long and sometimes short. I recommend you get a table and get the occasional waiter/tress to bring you your beer. They do have appetizers during this night but the only good ones are the calamari and the hot wings. They are a little pricey ranging between $5-$12 dollars for an appetizer portion. Sudwerks is by the police station so be wary about driving home drunk. I recommend Kings Cup as the game to play this night just because beer will be abundant and with enough friends the night will seem short. Usually for two people $20 will be more than enough to have a good night.
Today's Alcohol Fact:
The most expensive vodka in the world is Diva Vodka that can cost up to $1,060,000 and its from Scotland. The cheapest vodka is Lairds for about $6.50 but you might as well drink rubbing alcohol. I recommend if you always have a bottle of vodka in your cabinet because many drinks revolve around it. I like Sky its not Grey Goose but its pretty good.

Tuesday Nights Fun
So although Tuesdays are not really the days to go out and drink and have some fun in Davis due to school here is some advice. Alright so if you are a student you are always looking for the cheapest thing to do that will be the funnest. I recommend on a Tuesday you go and have some Sake Bombs at Unlimited Sushi in North Davis right by the Savemart. I recommend this because you will not find a better deal for your money tonight, not only is there no cover but it is available all day. $2 for a sake bomb that consists of a pint of beer and a shot of sake or $1 beer (granted its generic miller). Unlike other places Unlimited is not stingy about their beer and will fill your mug up even for a beer shooter. The sake is pretty good and served warm it adds a pretty good taste to the beer. For everyone that has not enjoyed a sake bomb here is how you take it. You grab your disposable chopsticks and line them up parallels across the the top of your beer mug. Then you place your sake shot in between sort of like making a little table for it, but with space in between. You can then cheer or say one of many phrases, what follows is certain. You smash the table until the sake falls in the beer and then just chug. As far as food I don't recommend the food at Ultimate Sushi for the only reason that it is pretty expensive and quality wise its pretty generic. I would hobble to Savemart and grab some food or if its early enough and you of course have someone to drive Oshios on 2nd and A has all their Sushi for $5 after 5pm. These are their hours over the summer. Right now its not too busy but during the school year it can take as long as 1 hour for a roll so enjoy now. Well that's it for today hope to hear from everyone who tried out this Tuesdays recommendation.
To finish off I will always leave you with some alcohol fact and or a recipe of some sort.
Today's Drink: Fancy Sangria.
This is a recipe that I made and have sold to a couple of places but here it is free too all of you.
